Saint John Ambulance
Saint John Ambulance Cadet Saint John Ambulance offer structured training for all ages, for young people we present an opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and a wide choice of other activities.
Saint John Ambulance are the first aid and health and safety trainer of choice for hundreds of thousands of companies, local authorities, other organisations, and members of the public and offer hundreds of training courses across the region.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service are committed to providing young people with training as part of the BTEC Level 2 In the Fire and Rescue Service in the Community Programme that can help to boost their self-esteem, encourage teamwork and provide them with an opportunity to engage in voluntary work within their community.

We therefore provide basic first aid training through the St Johns Ambulance Young First aider pack which is an interactive, pupil-centred resource which puts children and young people wellbeing at the heart of their education.

Young First Aider
This course provides a basic introduction to first aid. The course gives students grounding in managing an incident and the most commonly needed first aid skills.

What they will learn?
Basic life-saving first aid skills.

  • Resuscitation
Course duration Delivered alongside our BTEC Level 2 In the Fire and Rescue Service in the Community. Assessment and certification Continuous assessment by the trainer. A St John Ambulance certificate, valid for three years, is issued on successful completion of each part.
